trim wick to ~5 mm; achieve full melt on first use. burn 2–3 hours on a heat-safe surface.

On the first burn, allow the surface to melt fully to the edges to help prevent tunneling. Before each use, trim the wick to about 5 mm for a clean, steady flame with minimal smoke. Place on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts and fabrics, keep out of reach of children and pets, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Discontinue use when about 1 cm of wax remains.
